BUMP program at TPA

Has anyone had experience walking up to NW at TPA with a CO ticket and getting on NW??

It's domestic by the way..TPA-LAX

No, but I did so in PDX in October with no problem (return portion of a round-trip, of course)

I attempted to do so with a 2-segment DL return in SFO last week, and the tkt agent indicated she would have done so, except that unfortunately I arrived late at the tkt counter.

Now the question is, can I do so internationally using my return tkt on CO: CDG-EWR-DTW , and instead travelling NW: CDG-DTW? We'll see.

I did it at TPA last year. NW had no problem doing from my DL ticket. The only problem was no FC available to DTW, but FC was available DTW-GRR. I still didn't mind, since I would not have been in FC on DL anyway.
It is my understanding that they wound do the bump on international flights. Anyone have actual experience with this?

BTW, I would only do this on your return. A co-worker of mine tried this on the outbound and found his return was cancelled by the original airline. He got it worked out, but it was a major pain.
