"The flight you selected is currently not available"
Hi all,
Once in a while, when I'm trying to plan an itinerary, either by "Seach by lowest fare" or "Search by Schedule" feature, I pick my flights, and then it gives me the above-captioned error message.
When I "search by lowest fare", it comes up right when I click the "select" button.
When I "search by schedule", I have to go through the process of selecting all of my flights, payment information, and the error message comes up after I hit "purchase"
???
Why show the flights at all if they're not available? Why can't they tell me which ones aren't, so I can re-search?

I have the same problem over at Orbitz. I've selected the flights I want, then it says they aren't available. I sent them an e-mail and said why show it if it isn't available? Very frustrating.... From a database standpoint I'm curious why it shows if it's not available....or why it can't sell, if it is available. Must lose revenue with that problem I would think.....

I get this message for DAYS at a time.
Everyone I talk to at Orbitz and NWA has the same response: "Fares are subject to change until ticketed."
It's actionable, in my opinion.
If it happens once in a while it's a glitch.
But, when it can be seen for days, weeks, at a time, it's a bait and switch tactic.
