I was in F, but I am upgraded 95% of the time and never had a meal on a short flight that I can remember for over a year

I had breakfast MEM-LGA in F last week. I don't know if that's normal, but i was very happy about it regardless. The flight is about 2.5 hours.

I don't find it unusual. We serve meals on shorter flights (in first class). I worked a DCA DTW flight that had breakfast. That flight is only an hour. I have no idea what the criteria is for boarding food though.

The criterion may be what the competition is doing on a given city pair.

How new is this? I've done DCA-DTW on the 6am several times this year (and in years past) and never seen a meal. (Yes, in F)
