My final 10K miles from Sprint for the 40K promo posted a short while ago. I received all 40K with no problems at all.
Thank you Sprint! |

Mine did not post http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif Only 28 miles for usage did.
Should I call and complain, or will they come with the next posting? |

Given that everything else has posted appropriately, I think it will not be a problem. |
Glad to hear that others can now close the door on this promo. I am still waiting for final installment, but feel pretty good given the experience of my fellow community members. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Well, I'm in the minority here then, because a Sprint cust. service rep. supervisor made it quite clear I would not get my final 10,000 since my last bill comes in April and they will no longer be sending miles to NW after 31 March. I have also had to fight tooth and nail for every mile I have gotten from Sprint http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mad.gif

Apparantly you can't rely on what is posted to your account on the web. I was missing my 10,000 miles for August. Called Sprint and they read me a line item in their computer that showed that they had transfered my 10,000 miles.
Called NWA. They showed it being received and posted to my account a few days after Sprint showed it being transfered it. Still, the 10,000 doesn't show up in my account on the web. A later posting did show, however. I became a WP member in 1999. I am able to pull all posted and used miles from that day. It doesn't add up. Don't understand why. Therefore, I have reason to doubt my 79,431 mile total. Clif [This message has been edited by clifh2 (edited 03-08-2003).] |

I still have a copy of an undated letter sent to me notifying me that Sprint was discontinuing their relationship with NW. It states as follows:
Dear XXXXXXX: Since 1999, Sprint has offered its customers the opportunity to earn Northwest Airlines@ WorldPerks Bonus Miles for subscribing to services such as Sprint Long Distance and Sprint PCS. Sprint customers have also earned extra miles for every dollar spent on the services they signed up for. Sprint has partnered with Northwest Airlines to offer you valuable miles, and although that partnership will change soon, we want to let you know you will continue to earn and receive all of the WorldPerks Bonus Miles and extra spending miles you're entitled to through March 31, 2003. That means you'll still receive the WorldPerks Bonus Miles you were offered when you became a Sprint customer. And through March 31, 2003, you'll continue to receive 5 WorldPerks miles (or 7 miles for Elite members) for every dollar you spend on Sprint services. Some things change, but there's one thing that doesn't: the excellent service and value you've come to expect from Sprint and Northwest Airlines. Both companies value your business and we want you to know that our internal changes will not interrupt your Sprint Services or the miles you continue to earn in your WorldPerks Account. If you have any questions, please call 1-800-795-1167. Sincerely, Daniel Alcazar Assistant Vice President Mass Markets Organization I would interpret this to mean that you will earn miles for all spending through 3/31, which means that the miles for this spending have to be credited sometime in April or even May depending on when your statement cutoff date is. Those of you waiting for one more statement to get the final 10K should receive the miles. |
My final 10k posted overnight. Thanks NW/Sprint! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
Now what's the next best FF phone miles promo out there to use? [This message has been edited by hauteboy (edited 04-01-2003).] |

Possible bad news for those awaiting the final 10,000 miles. Hmm, will have to cross my fingers. I have written a follow up email and suggest all of you waiting for the final 10,000 miles do so as well:
Thank you for contacting Sprint On-line Customer Service regarding your account number. we appreciate the opportunity to address your inquiry. Our records indicate your eighteenth invoice with Sprint will not be until your April 2003 invoice. The final 10,000 bonus miles for the 40,000 bonus mile offer with Northwest Airlines is not due until the eighteenth invoice. Since the Sprint/Northwest Airlines partnership has ended as of March 31, 2003, we are unable to guarantee you will receive the final 10,000 bonus miles. If we can be of further assistance, please contact us again. Have a wonderful day! Sincerely, XXXXXXX XXXXXXX, Supervisor Sprint Customer Care [This message has been edited by anbhc (edited 04-01-2003).] |
My response elicted more possible bad news, but still hope (my billing cycle ends April 8th and not March 31st):
Dear Mr. XXXXX The letter you included states for miles earned through March 31, 2003. Since miles only award after each billing cycle, I can not guarantee you will receive the final 10,000 bonus miles, since they will not award until after the April 2003 invoice. I have made an inquiry regarding this issue to Airline Specialist but have not received a clear response. Currently, the understanding is if you had not earned the miles by the March 2003 invoice, you would not receive them. I apologize for any confusion and inconvenience this issue may have caused you. Sincerely, XXXXXXX XXXXXXXX Sprint Customer Care [This message has been edited by anbhc (edited 04-01-2003).] |
