Awards on KL flights op'd by EI?

Sorry if this should seem obvious, but I figured I would ask.

I live near MIA. My wife and I want to go to Ireland -- we'll take any airport in the Republic (realistically, SNN, DUB, or ORK). Now, CO services Shannon and Dublin, but BF awards are 1) pricier and 2) not available at regular levels very often.

But right now, regular business awards MIA-AMS on KLM come up quite regularly. And even if we had to do the AMS-Ireland leg in coach, it'd be worth it to save 120,000 miles each!

But it appears that KLM's flights AMS-ORK and AMS-DUB are both codeshares on EI. Not that I dislike EI (in fact, I like them a lot), but does that mean I can't score an award seat on those legs?

Thanks!

Steve

No, you wouldn't be able to use WorldPerks miles on those legs because EI is not a partner of WorldPerks.

The best bet is to call NWA and find out. From my own experience, however, I was able to use CO OnePass miles while booking on NW, KL, and connecting on CSA (Czech Airlines), although CSA is not a WorldPerks memeber. CSA was codesharing with KL, so the flight was KL designated yet on CSA metal.
