AF codeshare
Apologies for this being in the slightly wrong forum, but I'm getting a very strange answer in the DL forum and from Delta (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=752107)
Normally, whenever I book a KL/AF codeshare on nwa.com, I get a KL/AF PNR as well as a NW PNR. I recently booked an AF codeshare on delta.com, and I have a DL PNR but no AF PNR. I tried calling DL to get a PNR, they said it didn't exist, and the reply in the Delta forum has been the same. Does anyone know if Northwest does something different, in terms of being able to assign PNR for partner Skyteam airlines, or am I getting a weird story from Delta? |

Actually, I did book my flight on NW.com, it was part NW part KL through AMS. Then I saw on Delta.com a part DL part AF flight, that was 1/2 the price ($700 vs $1500). I was within the 24h window so I canceled the NW flight and booked DL, which is all DL metal on the way over (TXL via JFK) and AF/DL on the way back (SJC via CDG, LAX). I'm starting to regret booking on AF/DL given the shoddy customer service (1/2hr to get a representative, who then "called AF" and told me he couldn't do anything), and the fact that AF refuses to assign exit rows.
*sigh*. It was a big cost savings, at least.... |
yeah, i got the same problem...i can't find out what my AF PNR on a DL codeshare is either. go figure!

*sigh*. It was a big cost savings, at least.... This could be part of the new DL/AF joint venture for transatlantic flights  . I usually find the other PNRs when looking up nwa itineraries on worldspan ... did you try? Or even try the DL PNR on airfrance.us? |
I tried the PNR on airfrance.us, and I tried it on Amadeus / CheckMyTrip. neither worked (the fact that it didn't come up on Amadeus was a bit disturbing to me). Anyhow, i called AF, and they said they show no reservation for me, even after looking into the flight I'm on. They could pull up the DL reservation though. Apparently DL just buys 8 seats on the AF flight, and resells those, but doesn't actually transmit the data to AF (until the very last minute).
*sigh*. What the heck are DL/AF doing :( |

that is 'bs', AF can see that you are on that flight and I do see DL flights on my airfrance.us list of itineraries. It is correct that the AF system won't allow to select seats and so on and so forth, since it is a 'DL' flight, but they can see that you are on that flight. You can ask them to try and pull it up with your FQTV #.
There should be an AF booking code, which is not the Delta PNR ... how to find out? Can you pull up your itinerary with the Delta PNR? a) Tried pulling up the AF flights I was on, and search for my name, and did not find it b) She could pull up the DL reservation, but because it was booked on the DL codeshare flight # and not the AF flight number, it "could not" have an AF PNR. (AF seems to really like the thought of "can not"... oh well, c'est la vie.) I thought about calling back to get another agent, but I had to wait roughly 1/2hr for the delta agent, and about 20min for the AF agent. Didn't seem worth it. I'm still wondering who is responsible if AF strikes on 1/1 though - do I go to the Delta desk and ask to be re-accommodated, or would I go to the AF desk? (I would prefer being re-accommodated on NW/KL to the DL flight... never a huge fan of JFK-TXL as there's no opportunity for duty-free shopping) |
