SFO-NRT DC10?
 
Noticed on 5 Nov NRT-SFO and SFO-NRT
are dc 10-30??

Is this common?
Mechanical?
Fuel stop required?

This is news to me. It's not that far to fly without a fuel stop.

That's well within range for a DC-10-30 at 5,123 miles even in a headwind. CP used to fly YVR-HKG which is 1,270 miles further. Occasional westbound fuel stops in TPE and OKA were required.

I'm glad I did my SIN trips before the plane switches...I sat upstairs on 4 flights and it they the best flights I have ever had!!
