2 worldperks accounts with miles. what to do?
before i call northwest i'd like to get an opinion.
i have 70,000 in one worldperks account, 20,000 in another. is there a way to consolidate these or transfer to another program, hotel or otherwise? both in my name, have never duplicated promotions between the two.
many thanks for any input.

Be aware that Northwest, when consolidating accounts, can consolidate mileage received from promotions. ie..if both accounts received the 10K Fly Free Faster miles, they may only recognize one of the awards.

So if I have an old (10 years or so since activity) account with a few thousand miles, they'll consolidate it into my new one no problem? Just don't want to jeopardize my new miles by trying to get these old ones.
It's only a couple thousand, but hey, they all count, or we wouldn't be here.
Thanks.

I've consolidated accounts on a number of different airlines, and have never had a problem.
(I know, I'm a bad person. But back in the early 90's I just signed up for an account while waiting to board since I never knew or kept my FF #s.)

I hear you. About the same time as you, I got my original NW miles when UA cancelled my flight and put me on NW. For some reason, I was smart enough to open an FF account. Who'd a thunk years later getting miles would become an obsession!?!
