Anyone know what codes after WP# mean?

Just noticed several numbers/codes after my WP account number on my most recent statement. Does anyone know what they define? I have noticed that the inserts that I receive are tailored to me, as they offer something for have WP Visa the last couple of statements. Just curious, thanks.

Weird........my boarding pass says "FQTV PERK" next to "Special Service". I'm travelling JFK-AMS today on NW metal in WBC.

It also has my CO info as well on the front:

Lastname/Firstname
GOLD ELITE
COSUXXXXXX

Does anyone know what the "FQTV PERK" stands for???

I had the same thing, I was guessing it was a coach fare that I had u/g with miles. Like you I'm a CO OP member who booked a NW flight and u/g with CO miles.

I would gues it means frequent traveler perq to be able to upgrade with miles

It's in there as long as your WP or OP # is in the record...I've always thought it ment Frequent Travelier Perk..ie your getting miles

Well I am a CO Elite, but I did not upgrade with miles for my ticket. I actually paid for the ticket with money -- not miles.

I think there are some other codes besides FQTV PERK that let gate agents know to pull you aside for security check. I'd love to know what these are ahead of time, so I can make sure that I'm at the front of the line to avoid waiting to board.

i thought the code for selectees was the -s.

my NW bp's frequently look like this:

duxfan/mr-S
platinum elite
COxxxxxxxx

i think the FQTV PERK shows up on upgraded BP's, no matter how you got there. subtle way for the agent to quickly realize that you didn't give NW everything you had in your wallet just for this flight...

FQTV PERK, AFAIK doesn't really stand for anything, they just put it on ALL elite tickets. I flew on a paid DTW-LAX last week in Y--no upgrade http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif but my boarding pass said Mr. California Goat, Gold Elite, Seat 21D FQTV PERK. Since when is 21D on a NW 757 a perk--it was the worst flight I've had in quite a while. Oh--wait a sec--I know, the PERK must have been when the FAs made their second pass through the cabin 3 1/4 hrs into the flight and offered 1/3 of a plastic glass of water--I didn't know it was for FQTVs only. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif

I have another one to add to the mix:

(Name)
Premium

Before this thread, I thought "premium" meant WP member but now I don't know.

"FQTV PERK" - As long as you have a frequent flyer number in the flight record, doesn't matter whether you're elite or not, it will be on your boarding pass.

I am curious about the codes on a WP statement. After my account number, there is /1#/7H/17384/A. I am interested as I fly NWA but have miles post to my Onepass account. The only miles that post to WP account are not flight related. Last two years could have made elite on NWA flights if miles posted to WP account. The codes must mean something to NWA and am interested how NWA views me as a customer. The only targeted mailing that I seem to get is WP visa related.

Usually when I see premium I get the First Class Bonus PLUS my elite bonus, so I believe that means basically "YOU'RE A SUCKER THAT PAID FULL PRICE" but in reality usually means "agent made a mistake and put the upgrade in incorrectly"

the-ca-goat Apr 25, 2002 9:37 am

From what I can tell from old boarding passes,

PRIMIUM = World Perks Member
FQTV PERK = Elite Member (Upgraded or sitting in "elite zone" in coach)

MJW Apr 25, 2002 1:37 pm

Hi all.

The codes after your WorldPerks number on the mileage summary
statement indicate what segment you are in for inserts (geographic
or already a WP Visa cardholder, etc.), special messages (WorldClubs
membership about to expire, etc.) and the like. I'm not sure why
they need to print, but it may be a vendor QC thing.

The items on the boarding passes are:
FQTV - FF# (NW/KL/AS/CO only, I believe)
PERK - Elite status (NW/KL/AS/CO)
CORP - Corporate customer
PREM - Full fare customer (or upgrade done incorrectly as someone else
pointed out!)

These "SSR" items are notes, meant as help for agents and to let
customer know that status is recognized and that the FF# is in the PNR.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the clarification, MJW! Good to see you posting now and then!

No problem!

Since my last post I have found out that the codes after your WP number
on the mileage summary also have to do with the postal discount sorts.
And they do print on the piece so that, in case there is an insertion
problem, the mailing can be resorted into the proper order (to retain
postal discounts).

Our WorldPerks trivia of the day!

I also meant to mention in my prior note that both of these
items (mileage summary codes and SSR items on boarding passes)
have been around for quite a while...they are not something new.
