Tail Numbers

Any site available to find where the two new 747-400's are flying (and yes you FT poster children, I know the other is not being delivered for a couple of weeks). For that matter can one find out the history of any airplane in the fleet without researching some obscure thread known only to the keepers of the secrets of flight???????

Ship 6316 landed in MSP this evening aroung 1700. They (6315 and 6316) will mostly be used in the trans-pacific routes, with a couple of trips to AMS from DTW and JFK.

I was in DTW last weekend on my runs and was checking plane number. Saw 6315 on sunday, on the DTW-NGO route, probably going on to MNL I'd guess. Hope it's not just assigned to that route. I do a run to NRT in 3 weeks... crossing my fingers!

If you need the history of any particular aircraft, drop me an email or post a request here and I'll be happy to assist.

With the way NW schedules their B744s, a particular aircraft can't be assigned just to a particular route. You never know where they'll go next.

I'm not really eager to step on a new aircraft. What I'm eager is to step on the aircraft that'll have the new WBC seats.

Actually, the NWA 744 scheduling is easier to predict than a Delta 763 for example. You have the DTW rotations and the NRT rotations, and pretty much everything else builds around those.
