Newbie (2nd post) but thought I'd pass on a great WP experience (my first attempt at "working the system")- recently moved to NY so previous miles w/NW were from transfers from KLM and CO (used to fly Delta exclusively).

OK- don't laugh b/c I'm sure many have topped me but I finally felt that FF high!
Nov. of 2001 got 2K for online booking, 5K miles for first purchase off website, 1.25K for boarding pass, 3K flight miles and flight cost only $133! Now all I have to do is work on that 12 month in advance FF reservation to Hawaii http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Welcome aboard and Hi. You certainly are getting the ff miles goodies. Keep in mind most ff awards can only be booked 330 days in advance for whatever reason.

Remember 330 days is for most airlines...NWA is 365
