Thanks for bringing this up, I just switched one of my phone lines (in my wife's name)
To answer to some of the questions here, as I understand it ( may not be the Gospel)
1) You will get 5 miles per $ spent, that is not listed specifically on the NWA site
2) Only one line per household but as in my case if one of your phone lines are in say your wife's name they seem very willing to sign us both up, assuming you do not have already have Sprint on one of the lines. (I could not get the bonus since I already use Sprint on one line)
3) Some posters here have had problems with Sprint in getting miles but we have been lucky in getting all they have promised in the past, including Sprint PCS miles.
4) Yes you can pay your bill by having them directly bill you credit card I have doing this by Amex for over 10 years ( more miles)
5) Suggest you make notes during signup and
check back after signup to make them confirm all that promised.
Mike

FYI
'Sprint 7c anytime International'
Just for asking I was allowed to upgraded from my existing 20K Worldperks plan to the 40K plan.
I use international, so I pay a recurring monthly of $5.95 instead of $3.95.
Yes, as elite you get 7mi per $1 spent ongoing and also after the 40K.
All promised miles have posted, and some.
I pay by affinity CC on line via their WWW by choice. (more miles) Works well, and posts in a timely manner.
In fact, Sprint has proved to be a good service provider over MCI - ATT - Dogfone inc
I am without outgoing long distance for 2 days while they switch - No big deal, use the payphone / cell / email.

I would not use Sprint if they were the only game in town. I signed up for a NW miles promotion last year & long story short, got SCREWED out of my miles, and on the monthly fee.
Escalted my complaint several levels within Sprint, emails, letters, etc. all to no avail.
Switched to an outfit called OPEX communications and am paying less than 4 cents a minute state to state & in state.

Thanks for the post/tips.
I, too, was easily upgraded from the 20K plan to 40K.
Btw, I have had missing mileage postings from both MCI and Sprint. In all cases I eventually got the miles after one or two phone calls.

I am currently on a 10K over 6 months plan. I asked to be upgraded to this plan and was refused.

Thanks for the tip--was looking for someone to change to from MCI after maxing out on a program there. Just signed up with Sprint via the online form. Will let y'all know how they come through. BTW--my experience is that all the phone companies have to be watched like a hawk when it comes to getting posted miles, etc. So I might as well be getting the most miles possible for my vigilance.

Does anyone know if the Sprint-phone account name has to be the same as the Norwest account name?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Account name and do not have to be exactly the same I have got Sprint miles from a phone listed in my wife's name and also my mother-inlaw.
They will ask you to "verify" that you are authorized to make changes on the line in question and you can give them any FF# number you choose.

How did you contact Sprint for the upgrade? Did you call 1-877-301-0314?

Well, there will be no upgrade for me
I called the dedicated 'Extra Perks' line at 1 800 795 1167. They checked my account and said that since I have received my first 5000 bonus miles from the 20000 miles offer, they couldn't upgrade me. I signed up on July 8th. They said if sign-up had been in late July or later, I could have upgraded since my first miles bonus would not yet have been posted.
