Mesaba cuts rates for Northwest 10 pct temporarily
Mesaba Holdings Inc., parent of regional air carrier Mesaba Aviation Inc., said on Wednesday it will charge its code-sharing partner, Northwest Airlines, 10 percent less for operating Mesaba flights from October through December to help cope with reduced travel after the Sept. 11 attacks.

Looks like Mesaba is getting the short end of the stick. In addition to the 10% reduction, they are picking up all Saab's from Express while Express becomes all CRJs. Express is owned by NWA and I wonder just how "voluntary" these Mesaba changes are. Love the RJ85s. Shame on the NWA pilots for preventing more of them for entering the fleet.

hey when those SAABs block in, do they have to be parked in reverse, just like the cars? is the ignition key between the seats?
