Wholesaler in Amsterdam

Can anyone help me with a contact for a wholesaler in Amsterdam or in any part of Holland for that matter. I'm looking for a cheaper ticket (than $725 which KL is quoting me) for a ride to mba (mombasa)and back from ams. This price has to be beatable. Thanks Capo Craig

What dates? Some folks that are either in NL or sell tickets for departures from there:

Actually USD 725 looks like a solid fare out of AMS.
KLM, as the main carrier there, pretty much dictates the market and is not so cheap ex Schiphol.Normally fares ex Germany are cheaper.Try www.skyways.de
Beware, that there is not much competition at all, with Kenya Airways as a KLM affiliate and that the fares could rise as well.

If you insist on flying ex Amsterdam to Mombasa, $725 is the price you'll have to pay. However, you can save yourself some bucks if you don't mind flying to Nairobi instead of Mombasa:

*** AMS-NBO Britsh Airways: $520 (see http://www.british-airways.com/regio...edingen.shtml)

*** AMS-NBO Sabena/Swissair (probably bankrupt by the time you book your ticket, but anyway...): $497 (see http://www.travelstreet.com/transpor...even%2F&taal=D )

Also, consider flying ex Brussels instead of Amsterdam. Brussels is less than 2 hours from AMS by train:

*** BRU-MBA Sunsnacks (charter): $530 (see http://www.sunsnacks.be/ )

If you understand Dutch, or think you might understand Dutch, here's a link directory to companies selling cheap tickets online in the Netherlands: http://vliegtickets.pagina.nl/

Good luck and please keep us posted. BTW what are your flight dates?

Hey thanks for all the good tips. My problem is that I'm married to KL because of my NW Plat. I will be buying two seperate tickets LAX>AMS>LAX ($389) and AMS>MBA>AMS ($725). I think this is a o.k. combined fare unless someone has a better idea (haven't purchased yet). Help me if you do!I know that KL and Kenya are married and code-share this route, but NW Elites beware of the flights operated by Kenyan planes (KQ). You used to get your bonus miles on the KQ flights, but this year it is straight mileage only. I've begged the NW elite desk to give me my bonus miles for my two flights that I have made already this year, and they have refused!!!! Rip Off!! My dates for these flights are end of Jan. and the first week of March. Thanks again for the help

One other thought??????? Could I fly NW to London, then get a cheaper flight on KL out of London to MBA through AMS?????? Any ideas?

I'd be easier to help you if you'd post the dates you are planning to fly. Anyway...I've been searching a bit and it doesn't seem like you'll be getting a better price when flying ex London. On top of that, it may even be more troublesome because all NWA/KLM flights departing LAX have either STN, LGW or LHR as their destination, while the connecting flights to MBA via AMS depart from LCY. Of course, you can get to AMS from STN, LGW and LHR, but you may have to pay extra. On top of that, you could also be so unlucky as to end up in KQ metal ex AMS.

Then again, there's nothing wrong with you being married to KL as KL and NWA are by far the least expensive carriers on the LAX-MBA route. All other airlines want at least $3300 for this route.

Again, it'd be much easier to help you if you'd post your flight dates.

Here are the dates. Lax>mem>ams Jan 21, ams>lax Feb.07. Ams>nbo>mba Jan 22, mba>nbo>ams Feb. 06. Lax>ams Feb. 27 ams>lax March14. Ams>nbo>mba Feb. 28 mba>nbo>ams March 13. Thanks for all your help!!

I give up. I haven't found anything less expensive than your original planning, so if I were you I'd just go for it and book those flights. $389 + $725 seems very reasonable compared to other carriers. Still a lot of money though...:-)
