Cocktail Glasses and Security at JFK
 

My wife and I are carrying 6 cocktail glasses for her sister in India. We're flying out of JFK and would like to carry them in our cabin baggage. Anyone know what the status of crystal glasses are viz. Security issues?

I've flown through JFK T4 twice since September 11 and they were probably the most sane security scanners I encountered nationwide. They even let me carry my nail clippers on board (this was before the great clipper exemption from the FAA). I don't think the crystal will make a hassle.
