Transfer Ticket
I have a trip planned to Tokyo Nov. 4 -11th. Unfortunately do to recent events my travel partner does not want to take this trip. My tickets are non-refundable and I think I have found a back up travel companion but my tickets also say "non-transferable." I'm willing to pay a change fee, but I am not willing to pay $100 change fee PLUS $150 fare difference. Any chance Northwest will grant a little leniency? Any suggestions?

My friend purchased a ticket from NWA.com last week.
The next day he would like to change the return date, however the NWA toll-free number asked him to call back later because of the high volume calls. He could not reach a NWA Customer Service Representative by the mid-night, therefore he was forced to pay the $100 penalty. Here is a copy of NWA Purchase Policy on NWA.com: --------------------------------------------- Northwest Airlines nwa.com Purchase Policy Thank you for making your WorldWeb Reservations’ purchase. If you change your mind, our Customers First policy allows you to request a refund without penalty if you cancel your reservation by the end of the next day (midnight Central Time) by calling 1-800-225-2525. If you don't cancel the reservation, however, you will not receive a refund unless you have purchased a fully refundable fare. Please note: Some special offers do not allow a 24 hold. These exceptions are noted in the terms and conditions of the special offer. Please read all terms and conditions carefully. --------------------------------------------- |
