Germanfflyer -

Please understand that my position is to work directly with our WorldPerks partners. Northwest has customer service agents whose role is to work directly with our customers. Although I am comfortable responding to WorldPerks partner questions on flyertalk, I don't feel it is appropriate for me to contact customers on a one-to-one basis. To be honest, I have a concern with giving my e-mail address out on flyertalk or e-maiing someone directly because if members start using me as a customer service agent, it will not benefit anyone because a) I won't have time to do what needs to be done in my role as a Senior Partner Manager and b) I won't be able to answer individual questions in a timely fashion due to the number and scope of questions.

Given that you reside in Germany, I am making the assumption that you are a Flying Dutchman member and not a WorldPerks member. Therefore, I am also assuming your issue may not pertain to WorldPerks. I recommend you visit nwa.com and click on Talk To Us and enter the appropriate information to contact the right department within Northwest.

Again, I am sorry that I cannot be more helpful.

Sincerely,
wp

Thank you very much WP,
I can understand your concerns very well and will try to find an understanding agent for this unique international/US problem.
Just as a side note have been a WP member for more than 10 years and survived the KL chanlenge due to a US address (Thank god!)
I like WP very much and am thinking of giving it more business in the future.
Thanks again for your explanation - hope I can find some helpful WP agent.

I bet there are a lot of European people still in the WorldPerks program, doing exactly what GermanFFlyer is doing, using a U.S. address. My German-based sister is doing the same thing.

From what I've seen of the KLM program, it's not nearly as generous as WorldPerks. I can't remember how the points relate to flights (I have a feeling Flying Dutchman members get the same amount of points for a Europe flight whether it's a short haul from AMS to Paris or a long one from AMS to Athens).
