Question about Cancelled Flight

Was scheduled on NW1433 from ATL-MSP. The flight was canceled, I was told due to weather (wind) in MSP. I was told that NW1433 was being limited to a certain number of passengers as well because of the wind. I didn't hear anything about the wind in MSP, when we arrived via another flight the weather was great. Anyway they re-booked me on a DL flight from ATL-BNA and then BNA-MSP. In talking with others that were re-booked from the 1431 flight, they were offered $300 vouchers. Just curious as to why we (on the 1433) were not offered anything? Initially we were told that the only flight back would have been the Friday AM flight. We did get back to MSP, although it was about an hour later than scheduled. Not complaining, just curious as to why...

1431 is scheduled to arrive MSP at 4:20 PM.
1433 is scheduled to arrive MSP at 7:06 PM.

The BNA-MSP flight (I assume 1273) is scheduled to arrive MSP at 8:05 PM.

You were 1 hour late. They were nearly 4 hours late. That explains the compensation they received vs. the none that you received.

That would make sense, I was just curious.

Thanks.

$300 vouchers is quite out of the norm, even for a 4 hour delay. I would guess that they received them for being denied boarding on the other flight due to the weight restriction. Only a guess, but the norm for a 4 hour delay is a SRP (Service Recovery Packet), with a maximum voucher of $100.
