Which cabin?

Was this in F or Y?

I'm doing HNL-LAX-DTW-PHL this coming weekend...

They've been experimenting with this on select flights. I think if its successful, it may be introduced as complimentary in F and for a nominal fee in Y on all flights over a certain length.

That would be really nice!

And I would not mind if NW flew DTW-FCO again and loaded LOTS of true Italian nociola and limone ice cream on the plane I WILL fly TYS-DTW-FCO-VIE to get the ice cream and pay for it

I, for one, welcome our new ice-cream-serving overlords. Given how hard it is to snag the WBC seats on 330s between Hawaii and the mainland, it'd be good to have at least some kind of ice cream option on longish domestic F legs.

mmmm good stuff!!

maybe they should invent another new flavor served only on planes and call it 'airy berry' or something like that, and have a cute cartoon picture of a plane with a big smile on it taking a bite out of a berry flavored ice cream!

Wait a sec, that IS a good idea--and if you submit a new idea to them that they use, you get something for it. I have been to the VT factory enough to know some of this.

I go for simple flavors, so I'd like a cup of "Plane Vanilla"

Reported on Jun 10 & 11 by avidflyer and davetravels. Nobody seemed particularly interested. No big deal!

Perhaps as the weather gets warmer, FTers are becoming more appreciative of the service.
