What was said to me by the agent as I was checking my bag at DTW.

He indicated my FT tag with a wag of his finger.

I replied back, "You should say that with more happiness in your voice."

He tried again, "Oh joy, you are one of those FlyerTalk things... people... members."

We both laughed but deep down I knew he really wanted me to miss my flight.

Seriously though, that was the first time my FT tag has been noticed by anyone.

Side note: took a bump from DTW-RIC, which got me a great burger from Fuddrucker's a later flight DTW-CLE(haven't been there in about 20 yrs)-RIC arriving about 5 hrs later plus the $300 ECV.

Oops I must go can't miss my newly made chair massage appointment.

Life is good (for now).

Datelog May 2007 additional journal entry.

Asked a GA if there were any self-service kiosks in terminal C. She helpfully, "what do you need to do, I will be happy to help you."

Just a simple seat change. She said, "How does exit row aisle sound?"

Excellent.

"Have a great day and thanks for flying NW."

Awesome attitude!

did you tell the agent there are others hiding, who don't necessarily display those luggage tags, fearing negative comments like you got? the agent should be told there may be others just like you in the airport, or even on planes as we speak.

Awww, that one would have been priceless!

I should say that I think overall the agent was joking, there was just a little bit of X (X being sarcasm possibly, disdain is too strong of a word) in his voice the first time he said it.

Ah, but how would he know about FlyerTalk...

UNLESS...

He is actually one of us!

Perhaps, we need a secret handshake to identify ourselves to one another

I thought this was going to be about the YYZ-BUH fare. Everytime I've called to cancel/change one of those reservations, that is what I hear.

Sort of like when when I mentioned recently to someone in the elevator with a Polo Club gym bag "I was thinking of joining the "Polo Club". How is it?"

Handshake? How hygenic is that? I would rather go with full body FT tattoos.
