I am still not exactly sure what this piece of equipment is (or how someone would get into a position to be injured by it). Tugs & towbars that push aircraft are one (dangerous) thing, but does anyone have a photo of the type of equipment that did this?
The closest analogy I can think of to a "luggage elevator" is at San Jose Airport, where Northwest Airlines uses a forklift-like contraption to raise and lower wheelchairs from ground up to the aircraft door (they use outdoor mobile stars to do general boarding). |
As of today, DAY still staffed by workers from other bases.
Everyone is devastated.. Not using Skybridges...be boarded from outside up the stairs. |
