standby computer glitches!!! ****warning, rant!****

Ok, so I have a bunch of nw flights this year....without really a hitch....until tonite!!!

I was on msp-winnipeg, 1020pm, and arrived into msp early enough to get the delayed 715. So I get to the gate, and g/a is FRAZZLED. I head over 2 gates to another agent. She takes care of me, gets me an F seat.

Standing at the departure gate, I hear my name called to return to the g/a who ticketed me. She says I don't have that seat, it was already given to a companion. BUT, the computer doesn't know it. And...I LOST my F seat on the 1020!!!!

So I get exit row, with an open middle seat from g/a #1 at departure gate. Standing there, g/a #2 at departure gate calls my name. Hands me an F bp. I said, ummm, I don't think I should be in F, my seat was given away! Oops, her bad.

Now exit middle is taken. So I get my exit aisle, and board. Gorilla monsoon happens to be in the middle!!!

No problem...only an hour flight!! Lucky I got on the mx delayed early flight!!!

Ohhhh, WAIT, this plane is broken! So now we are on an indefinate mx delay, with gorilla monsoon sitting next to me. I did call elite line, and they have me back on my original flight, but in 6B, instead of 1A!!!!

Moral of the story...an F seat that lands at 11pm is better then a coach seat that doesn't take off!!!!

UGHHHH!!

I think it's best when making last minute changes to seats or flights to always do it through the agent running the flight. It is still surprising that you lost your 10.20 FC seat... how did that one get taken so quickly?

Maybe you'll get some miles from NWA for the inconvenience...
