Anybody know when the cutoff date

1) when NW reduces the frequency of the 3x daily NRT-HNL (744, 744 & 332)
2) when the 332 will replace either 744 flights?

The 3rd daily will run in July and August. After that, there will be a 744 and a 333 each day.

B742 in DTW tonight

Saw a 747-200 in DTW tonight. It's apparently on a charter run to Barcelona as flight NW 9988.

And that is the last 747-200 in operation. A good friend of mine is working that charter.

You're probably both right - NW has a 742 or two doing the beach runs in scheduled pax service, but also has one (or possibly two) in charter service. So while the flight at the end of August or beginning of September will be the final scheduled pax service on a 742, we haven't really been told when the one in charter service will be retired.
