I used it once. it is behind a glass door to the left of the security check. this is only useful when checking luggage, usually no wait at all and a wider smile from the staff.
Otherwise, not a big deal.
you need to have your company ID to use it.

DTW's old terminal had a similar PAF check-in room, also behind frosted doors. I used it a few times when my company was owned by one of the "big three" and we had privledges there. I also wasn't elite at the time and scored many an exit row seat by asking.

Of course, this was before OLCI or the kiosks entered the picture. Now, why bother, especially if you're elite?

I've always wondered what those frosted World club looking doors were for in the check in area. I guess now I know. There are also special check in counters in BOS and EWR for some of the major pharmacutical companies on CO.

Indeed, in the MAC terminal in DTW there's a "room" next to the domestic check in and the left hand security gates on the check in level (when coming in the door). Looks like the WC door.

I consult for one of the the "Big 3" and it is indeed a benny that they work out. I can't use it (wrong color ID badge) unless with corporates travelling in WBC - but I've always just used the FC/WBC lane and the fast security lane and headed to the WC at that point.

Amex travel confirms this as one of the benefits to the company I consult for.
