18A or 22C?
I am looking for the best seat to sleep on a DC10 to AMS. I usually grab 18A but have read that 22C is better.
Any opinion on this topic would be welcome. Many thanks. |
I would try to get 18A because you will have storage room under the seat in front of you and the seat width is a little wider because the tray table is attached to seat 17A (in front of you) instead of in the armrest (seat 22C)
See the Seatguru DC10-30 seatmap for further analysis: http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Nor...es_DC10-30.php RC |
I'm personally a big fan of 22A/B. Lots of room in front of you (though the overhead is a little farther back); and also nice chatting with the FA who sits in front of you for take-offs and landings.

I settled for 22J outbound. (The guru is ambivalent on which of 18A/B or 22A/B is best.) I figured that storage space wasn't much of an issue when my primary objective was sleeping. I remain in 18B on the inbound leg. As I expect to be awake and do some reading on that leg, the issue of storage - easy access to my stuff - is much more important than the outbound leg. I really like 18A/B because I know there will be nobody putting their feet in my back. |
