Most "apology" WP miles you've ever gotten?

I just got notice that I'm getting 11,500 miles for a 2 hour delay on NW305 MSP-LAX a few days ago. While I appreciate the gesture, I'm puzzled as I got only 5,000 miles in comparison for a 4 hour DTW-NRT delay.

Dear [hoyateach]

RE: Case Number [XXXXXXX]

On behalf of the 40,000 employees at Northwest Airlines, I would like to
extend a sincere apology for the flight irregularity you experienced on
April 5. Travelers expect us to provide dependable and reliable service
and we failed on this occasion.

Northwest Airlines would like to take this opportunity to apologize for
the disruption of Flight NW0305 on April 5. We value you as a customer,
and for that reason we have added 11500 WorldPerks bonus miles to your
account. You may visit our website at www.nwa.com/freqfly/ to verify
these miles have been posted. Please allow 3 business days for miles to
appear.

My colleagues and I pledge to you that we are dedicated to providing
good service. Our safety record speaks for itself. Unfortunately, a
reality in this industry is that there will be times when we are forced
to delay, cancel, or divert flights. Thank you for your support and for
flying Northwest.

Sincerely,

Cassie Steidler
Manager, Customer Care
Northwest/KLM Airlines
So what's the most NW has ever given you by way of apology?

I got the same in November 2005 on a 2 hour SEA-OGG delay. Strange. My non-elite traveling companions each got 1000 miles.

I've personally never gotten an "apology miles" posting, but I'm surpised noone's chimed in with 19,000... isn't that the most you can get, without a supervisor's approval?

My partner got 19,000 last fall after we went 6/6 on DCA-MSP-YVR delays. Minimum was 2:30 delay, max was 24 hours.

12000 for non-functional audio and video on an AMS-DTW flight. I was silver at the time. In coach, yet so it wasn't that great to start with. I was pleased.

The most that I have gotten was 4K, but that was before I was an elite. Since then it seems like any time I have occassion to complain there have been things in my account summary that I really did not want them to catch so I haven't complained. (i.e. a transatlantic segment in full Y or the like).

A base member friend of mine got 7,500 miles for an 8 hour delay at FNT, before heading on to LAS.

Also 11,500 for a 2 1/2 hour delay that included a change of planes (mechanical problems) followed by an aborted take-off on the replacement plane. Mrs. Yogimax (Gold Elite) received 5,000 miles for the same flight.

I got 25,000 I had a delay, then an we finally left and started circling like crazy, then we went back due to a mechanical, and then the next flight was delayed. Then when I went to come home delay, cancel, delay.

I've never gotten any miles from NW without asking. I've always had to call to complain about something. Never gotten miles for delays - just service/equipment problems.

9500 for a broken seat.
