Delta Upgrades???
 

My sister is a WP Elite and asked a Delta GA in Atlanta yesterday whether she could get upgraded on a DL flight. She was told this was possible but NW had to put her on the upgrade list within 24 hours of the flight.

I believe this GA gave sis some bogus information. I've never been able to score a DL upgrade as a NW platinum and am pretty sure there's no agreement for upgrades between Delta and NW.

Is there some hidden rule I don't know about?

Nope, no official delta elite reciprocal upgrades. Sometimes you can sweet talk your way into one if space is available. Mike or others that do some more delta flying than I do has anything changed in the policy of which I am not aware?

Nope, the only upgrade you get on DL is a snack, usually from up to 6 choices and often multiple servings. :cool:

On one recent trip, the FC FA did come back to my exit row seat to thank me for flying DL & to offer me a drink. But that's only happened on one of 40 or 50 DL segments as a NW elite.
