Flight changes requiring confirmation
 

Just checked up on an MR going on in May to LAS, and got a little surprise... two of the 3 flights have had schedule changes. Two things found interesting:

* the page says "please click down there to review changes" and "please click there to accept changes"... the "accept" button exists, but the "review" button didn't. Maybe missed the button, maybe didn't. Accepted without review, and didn't get any terribly bad suprises, but still. Anyone come across this screen?

* changes appear (from memory) to be that the first-leg outbound has moved forward 1 minute (not effecting the connection), but the single-leg return has moved back 20 minutes. So previously, had 59 minutes to change planes, not have 39 minutes. Again, not a bad thing, in the front row of Y, so can walk off one plane and onto another (so much for food). Except for the fact that the "notes" under that flight say "60 Minute check-in required in Las Vegas". Huh? The only(?) thing this means is if you don't OLCI or kiosk check-in before departing, they can give away your seat at 60 minutes, rather then the usual 20-15 minutes? Ideas?

BTW, the interesting thing is, even with the schedule change, NW is still offering this MR on their fare screen, with this shorter 39 minute layover (and the 60 minute rule).

UPDATED: Just checked all itineraries, just about all of them after May 1 have some change or other, sometimes by only a minute. And one R/T had a change from a DC-9 to an Avro RJ-85. Interesting...

I've encountered it before but thought it showed the pnr as well....can't remember for sure sorry

As far as your MR, I wouldn't be concerned...just use OLCI and you'll be fine, they'll see that you're checked in and complied with the 60 min rule (you don't need to be present at the gate 60 mins before....and it sounds as though you're on the same plane in & outbound)

That's what I surmised (that OLCI was enough), but personal or second-hand experience is always better then conjecture. But, I'm not on the same plane... outbound 2nd-leg is A320, return is 767. Probably have to walk to the gate next door. :)

You will likely get the return BPs when you check in for the outbound on just olci twice. When I did an LAS mr last September I got everything at once at DCA -- I couldn't olci or kiosk check in and the agent seemed quite amused when the bps kept spitting out -- 6 total.

The 60 minute rule at LAS I think refers to checking in landside. NW is in a satellite terminal that requires a train ride and security at LAS can be a long wait. Airside, NW gates are all adjacent to each other.

Thanks much, that explains a lot. I'm sure there are a lot of people that want to get that last minute of pleasure out of LAS and put off checking in, plus there's probably lots of standbys.

I was expecting to get all of my BPs via OLCI, I've never had an issue getting them pre-flight... even on MRs. We shall see...
