Shortest NWA flight you have been on

I was thinking about the long CRJ thread that I started. I recently too the DTW-TOL flight. It comes up as 49 miles. Has anyone done any shorter?

In the 80s and early 90s, NW had an evening flight that went MSP-SNA-ONT. So although not an independent flight I've flown the 30 mile SNA-ONT leg.

OGG-KOA - 84 miles (but it feels like forever going around the entire island).

KL AMS-BRU - 90 miles (and they still did drink and food service)

MEM-BHM 212 miles, so far on a DC-9 and CRJ, soon on a ARJ as well.

I have been delayed 4-5 hours in MEM (the time it takes to drive it) twice in the past 3 months.

I feel like back in the mid-90s I went SYR-ROC-DTW. SYR-ROC couldn't be much more than DTW-TOL.

IAD-BWI 56 road miles. The flight was filled with people who'd bought tickets exBWI because they were cheaper, so of course NW wouldn't allow anyone off at IAD, you had to fly to BWI

I regularly do RST-MSP (76 miles). Often on a DC9!

Hahaha... About a 1/3rd of my segments last year were FNT-DTW, 56 miles. My favorite comment from the pilot is "As soon as we take off we are in DTW's landing pattern"

You're going to have a tough time beating the 49m DTW-TOL.

I've flown the MIA-FLL leg a few times on DL, as part of the last ATL-(MIA)-FLL run of the day. It was bookable as a $35 fare, but never took it (and this was back in the days of 1000 mile segments). Flying that MIA-FLL route was the one and only time I've been in a plane that landed *with* the wind... it took off from MIA going east, did a half-circle, and landed going west. All the other times, they did an S, or an ouside/inside circle to land against the wind.

They probably have to time take-offs to the passing of heavy's!

HNL-OGG at 101 miles. I'll get it to 95 miles when I take DTW-CLE this spring.

Shortest flight although not NW

The shortest flight I've ever taken is not on NWA but now defunct Air California back in the late 70s. I flew TVL - BUR - LAX, I believe on DC3, with the last leg being 18 miles. I've also taken LAX-SNA (36 miles) in the early 90s on a reroute connection by DL on SWF-ATL-SLC-SNA route that went SWF-ATL-LAX-SNA.
The shortest I've taken on NWA is DTW-TOL and back with lots of FNT-DTW, too.
