Is the Northwest Newsstand worth the extra bandwidth??

channa Jul 23, 2005 9:17 pm

Get rid of it!

No. I don't think it's working. I click on it accidentally from time to time and curse, as it's on the main page, and I mean to come here.

troyintn Jul 23, 2005 9:29 pm

I never go to it.

That's how I found it was only 20 threads...accidently clicked it tonight.

<-----

the place is a joke.

the joke lost it's humor after the first day.

there's one person who INSISTS on making this forum as difficult as possible.

Good thing I got in before the lock because it's not like we'll ever have a poll to see whether it should exist, but is one person's stupid idea of what his forum should be.

GWave120 Jul 23, 2005 10:22 pm

What was the point of it again? It escapes me now. Or maybe I didn't know in the first place.

I have never clicked on the NW Newstand board... I'm sure I'd be interested in reading some of the stuff on there but I'm too lazy to click another link. It's worthles... and it should be removed and allow those threads to be placed in the main NW forum. We're talking about less than a thread a day here folks. Those threads wouldn't exactly bog down the main board. But whatever... the people in charge don't want it that way so it won't be.

Never clicked on it before, don't plan on it in the future. I share the sentiments of many on this board. FT's supposed to be a community but I guess that doesn't prevent autocracy.

DHAST Jul 24, 2005 2:29 am

What's the "News stand" you guys keep talking about?

If you want to see an autocracy, you should see any message board that a woman from Houston by the initials S.M. has anything to do with. That would have been rec.travel.air back in the day and currently one of the priceline message boards she runs.

All it does is make it more difficult to follow the forums. Hopefully the experiment will end soon.

To prop up a moderator.

Very true. It looks likely to be a permanent feature of only the NW forum.

.

I've never clicked on it either.....

Now with all this attention, it may just make the 25 hit mark. ^

If the NW News stand goes away, where could "some one" hide posts that they didn't like? @:-)

thezipper Jul 24, 2005 8:33 am

closing thread... one can discuss the NWA Newsstand pro/cons, but attacks on ANYONE is against the FlyerTalk TOS... You have been warned.
