Probs With CO Codeshare Miles Posting to NW

I can't do a search on this, so apologies if it's been covered before.

But, am I the only one having trouble with Continental flight miles posting to my Northwest account?

I took a flight back in 2003 from Pensacola, FL to Baltimore (via Houston!) and the outbound miles posted, but the inbound miles never did. Thought it was a fluke.

This month, took a RT to Houston on CO, and neither segment has posted as of yet. Bad on me, I lost my boarding passes, so can't fax them in for credit. But that's OK, it is my fault; I usually keep these until the miles post.

(I'm now in Boise, Idaho, on another CO codeshare. The outbouond has not posted, but OK, it's only been a few days and this time I'm making sure I have the boarding passes.)

I've taken the occasional codeshare on Delta and the miles always post, though I usually get more than I'm entitled to, and this is corrected by NW to the correct amount in a few weeks (Boo-hoo).

So, I'm just wondering why, in over two years, they still don't seem to have things worked out between CO and NW. Do any of you have problems with CO posting the miles to NW or am I the only one having problems with this?

Of over 100 segments flown on CO metals since NW-CO announced their partnership, I've never had to call in for miles not posting to my NW account. Not once.
I'm not sure why you're having this problem.

Anyway, you mentioned CO codeshare. What flight metal are you talking about?

Related to your flight on CO this month, I remember my brother had a problem with a missing flight segment posting to his NW account last year. I called in to WorldPerks on his behalf. IIRC, I gave them his CO e-ticket number and no boarding stub is required at all for the miles to be adjusted on his account.
Perhaps you should call in and see if they can post the miles for you by supplying just the e-ticket number.

The metal would be the Continental regional partner...let me get my bparding pass...OK, the latest (this week) is Expressjet Airlines doing business as Continental Express.

The trip earlier this month was also Expressjet Airlines DBA as Continental Express.<< deleted, this: I have absolutely NO idea which partner I took earlier this month Pensacola to Houston (IAH)>>.

As to this latest flight, I will take your advice and after waiting a few more days, will call them. I think NW will probably require me to fax them the boarding passes, but hey--maybe they won't. I'll give it a shot.

Thank you so much for the reply and advice!

The miles for my flights on those "cigar with wings" usually post without a problem.
I'll definitely wait for a few more days before I call in.

I do hope they won't insist you to fax in your boarding stubs. For other partner airlines besides CO and KL, I'm pretty sure they will ask you for the stubs.

Why would Money magazine take pictures of your niece's wedding? The cover photo for "Top Reason for Bankruptcy" article for this month's issue?? :p

Naw, it was a general article about weddings and won't be out until June, probably. She was just one of several they covered. But yeah, I like your title a lot! ;)

I'm deleting that paragraph, BTW. On reflection, it is way off topic; has nothing to do with the reason for my post...

I had problem with NW miles from CO although I rarely fly CO.

In 2003 I had BOS-EWR-NRT in J but 50% class of service EQM bonus miles never showed up. I had to fax a copy of my $7,800 ticket to NW.........

Both this year, and lifetime, I have problems with about a full 1/4 of my CO flights posting to NW. With a little work and faxing, they have fixed them all, eventually, but I think it's just business as usual to have to follow up with them. I'm not sure what Infinity's doing to get them all to post right away. I've often wondered whether fixing "partner problems" on flight postings was given a low prioirity, at best, because it is one reason for pax to use NWA.com instead of CO or 3rd party websites.

I fly 50+ segs a year on CO. So far, not one problem with CO flights posting to my acc. It seems that the flights can take 7-10 days to post to your acc, though - it depends on how often the NonePass Overlord computer, let's call it Gordo, does its cross-system dump to NWA's machine.

You must be a former OP member.

You must buy First Class or cheap fares then. Every time you buy a Y or H class fare the system will upgrade to R class. It posts as: Class flown R class paid R so no 150% EQM. This is how CO posts them.

I have to call every time. In fact I will call tomorrow when my DTW-EWR RT posts as R/R and R/R to get my bonus 500 EQM

The answer is to Fly NWA - But their F class is awful compared to CO

Mr. SeaBridge and I flew on a NW tix SEA-SJU via DTW and CLE on the outbound (Feb 23) and IAH and MSP on the return (Mar 3). The three CO legs posted for hubby by Mar 10, mine, alas, have not. I called the Plat line to get the right fax #, and was given a # that is out of service. :(

Then I tried the website - because the tix was issued by NW and starts with the magic 012, I could report the discrepancy online. Has that method worked (or not worked) for anyone else?

I'm feeling only mild "missing miles anxiety syndrome", and my doc said "take two MR's and call me in the morning." :p
