747 "beach"
 

Which routes do the old 747-200 "beach" aircraft fly? I was simply curious, because the only routes I know of that NW uses 747s still is the 744 to Japan, and the 747-200 on a couple of AMS routes. However, everything I see to HNL, which I assumed to be the destination of this type, is a DC-10 or 757.

The high-density B742 ("Beach Market") are currently flown NRT-GUM and NRT-SPN. The DC-10 operating NRT-HNL will be upgraded to a high-density B742 this spring.

LAX-NRT is NW's only full-passenger B742 route. Flights to Asia operate with the B744 and A330, flights to Europe utilize the A333 and DC-10 and flights between the mainland/Hawaii utilize the DC-10 (MSP/SEA-HNL only) and B753.
