Will NWA recognize Delta status for check-in?

I just bought an international coach ticket on NWA and had them put my Delta FF # to earn miles. The NWA CSR said that although NWA will let me earn Delta miles they won't recognize Delta status. Does this mean I can't stand in the "short" line?

They should recognize your status as part of SkyTeam and give you the equivalent SkyTeam Elite (not Elite Plus) benefits.

I flew Northwest last week and they recognized my SkyMiles Medallion status. I was allowed to pre-board with their elite members, pick from the reserved seats for elite members when I was making my reservation on-line, and I had no problems using the World Club lounge.

You shouldn't have a problem.
