Upgrades from Y
 
Sorry if this has been discussed before but I couldn't find it. Could someone please tell me which Y fares are upgrades done outside the window. I'm speaking domestically of course.

Are talking about ConnectFirst fares?

If so, Terms and Conditions:
ConnectFirstsm allows passengers to upgrade to a first class seat when purchasing a full-fare coach class ticket with a fare basis code of -Up* or -Uplink* on flights connecting through Minneapolis/St. Paul, Detroit, or Memphis.

If you have elite status ans wish to use miles, any fare is upgradable.

Sorry I should have been more clear. I'm speaking of Elite upgrades on Y fare. I know that they can happen outside of your respective window. But what I'm trying to find out is this from only certain Y fares or are they from all Y fares.
