Convert MCO to ECV? Possible?

Just wondering if anyone has ever done this, or if it is even possible? I have a small MCO ($30) left over from an earlier bump voucher, but with the new fees for phone or airport ticketing the thing is worth even less. I have not even asked NW about this yet, because my assumption would be no. Thought maybe someone else had a different experience. Thanks.

Recently, I redeemed my paper TCV for a trip cheaper than the $300 TCV value. They issued me a MCO for a $56 in the form of ECV. So I believe it's possible, provided that you make some type of purchase at the ticket counter. Given the low value of your MCO and high fares nowadays, it's definitely not worth your time.
