figure another 10% on top of the quoted rate....
City + state = 8.375% taxes. The hotel tax rate is another 5% + $3.50/day. That's a lot of tax!

La Quinta is on 32nd and 6th one block from the 1 train. There rack rate for the 23rd-26th is $299 AAA is $269 and Government (group?) is $209. They have 182 rooms so maybe they could swing 40. Since I live in the city I have never stayed there; but I love the rooftop bar.

Thanks everybody. I've found a travel agent who will hopefully be able to find something. Also, I've contacted AMEX PTS who may also have some promise. I'll let y'all know if anything surfaces.
