JFK Airport Parking

Hi,

What's the best way to park a car 1 week at JFK?
Do hotels offer a stay 1 night park one week rate at JFK?
Which one should I choose?

Best regards,
Sebastian

Another question:

What alternative transportation should I take if I not drive from Philadelphia to JFK?
Avistar Parking at JFK is expensive...

Is there a good train connection from Philly to JFK?
Should I fly? UA, AA did not have a direct flight AFAIK.

Best regards,
Sebastian

have you considered checking out the long term parking lost at
JFK?

Here is the link: http://www.panynj.com/aviation/jgrpfram2.html

If you want to take public transportation, you can
get to NY Penn Station, then take LIRR to Jamaica and then
take Airtrain to JFK, but this will be a long trip, but might turn out cheaper overall.

AviStar is expensive?!?!?!?!? Every time I've parked there it's been in the in the $13-$14/day range (going through airportdiscountparking.com or similar websites). This is better than what the Port Authority charges plus having the shuttle to the terminals is more convenient that having to do the AirTrain schlepp from long-term parking.

As for train connection from Philly, your only option is Amtrak/NJTransit to Penn Station connecting to LIRR to Jamaica to the AirTrain. Anything more than one suitcase and this will be a hassle if you ask me.

DL flies PHL-JFK non-stop (operated by Freedom). It's pricey though, and it's on a D-8!
That drive is terrible. The Verrazano stinks! I've done it too many times and it's miserable each time. However, you have limited mass transit options to JFK from PHL. Too many train transfers. Your best options are to fly it, or to drive it with a SERIOUS amount of lag time to account for accidents and traffic.

Personally, I'd train it. Amtrak to LIRR to Airtrain, you're 2.5 hrs (max, maybe as little as 2 hrs). 30th St Station to your JFK terminal, no worries about traffic.

Or if you want to save some money, take the Chinatown bus and then the subway from Chinatown to JFK.

Maybe this will help.

You'll have to balance the pros and cons.

how about I use the cheap UA fare PHL-...-LGA and then use the bus between the airports?

I don't even have a DL account. Oneworld and Star Alliance only...

no AA option?

I use airpark now at the three airports, totally love them. At JFK they can detail your car while you are gone.

I had a few minor problems with Avistar, use to be one of their biggest fans.

They are $18 a day, one free every seven days.

You can sometimes get some good deals through some of the discount parking sites, depending on the dates like www.longtermparking.com, they discount both Avistar and Air Park in New York.
