St Andrews in NYC was horrible

I had the worst meal ever in NYC 3 weeks ago at St. Andrews Restaurant, 120 West 44th Street

I will not be returning.

What did you have? It's one of my favorite bars......gotta love Scotsmen in kilts.

We were there pre-theater and all had steaks, 3 ribeyes and a filet, all were below par, as were the salads, vegies etc. and service.

That's too bad. I've never had a meal there because their menu didn't seem to interest me. But I love their bar.

My two favorite pre-theater restaurants are on W. 44th: Sushi Zen, just east of St. Andrews closer to 6th Avenue, and DB bistro moderne, between 5th and 6th. Both are pricier than St. Andrews, but much, much, much better.

For a more moderately priced pre-theater meal, I recommend Tratoria Trecolore, on W. 45th between 6th and 7th.

Agreed, Sushi Zen is a favorite of mine also.
