Is there free WiFi landside at JFK at any/every terminal? On my last trip in 2016, the arrivals area at T4 didn't seem to have any free WiFi. Has this changed?
How about the departures area? Asking because I have a short overnight layover and want to avoid wasting money on an overpriced sim card just for a few hours.

WiFi used to be based on Terminal and who was the host airline of the terminal. If the host airline isn't offering (i.e. Jetblue T5) free WiFi the Port Authority is https://www.jfkairport.com/at-airport/wifi-instructions

I meant the port authority free wifi for jfk. Does it work at arrivals? The site doesn't specify which areas has free wifi. Last time I was at arrivals, I was high and dry and there was boingo available which wasn't free.
