In case it helps anyone, I went to the Javits Center at 1:30am to get the J&J vaccine a couple days ago. They did not ask to see any documents other than an ID and your registration email that they send you after you sign up online. Although there were a few hundred people there, most of the staff were standing around as they could have handled many, many more people. Almost everyone there looked younger than 40 years old, with most even looking to me to be in their 20's. I guess a lot of Uber drivers and grocery store workers? Perhaps the elderly don't want to go out after midnight. So if you want an vaccine, just sign up for the overnight service at Javits.

That appears to be the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. What about the J&J vaccines that only require one dose?

Thanks - my read is that the 2nd number includes the single-dose J&J vaccination. I've revised the wording to "fully vaccinated", which is the term used on the NYC website.

Edited to add:
CONFIRMED - from the NYC website:
Fully vaccinated: Includes adults who have received both doses of a two-dose vaccine series or a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine.
And similarly from the NYS website:
People with completed vaccine series represents the total number of individuals who have completed the recommend series of a given COVID-19 vaccine product (e.g., 2 doses of the 2-dose Pfizer or Moderna vaccine; 1 dose of the single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine)
I'd copied & updated my last summary, which was made before the J&J vaccine was approved.

I'm hoping to get the J&J vaccine. Anyone have any tips to avoid long lines at Javits or know of a clinic that has it?

My understanding is that the long lines at Javits were just a few days as they were ramping up, but if you would like to avoid Javits this site shows what vaccine is available where (I have seen an NYPD site, I think in Brooklyn, and another site in the Bronx offering J&J but don’t remember more details than that). https://vaccinefinder.nyc.gov/locations

FWIW, when I went to the Javits this past Monday afternoon, there were 3 people in front of me at check in, and no lines for the rest of the process. It's set up to process a lot of people. YMMV on the night shift.

Edited to add
Another FYI, When I made my reservation 2.5 weeks out, the site said that I would receive the Moderna vaccine. When I got to the JJCC, they were giving out Pfizer. I still rolled up my sleeve.

I got my first show at Javitz, second at a high school in Brooklyn. My wife got her first shot at a high school in Queens, second at a different school in Brooklyn. Her sister got both at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn.

Each time we were in and out in less than 30 minutes including the 15 minute post-shot wait.

The lines at Javitz must have been that one day only, just a single cluster.... as they expanded service. When I was there (a few days before) the line moved constantly. Spent more time walking around through the corrals (like at airport security) than waiting.

Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but...

Looking for a rapid COVID test facility close to EWR that provides an acceptable certificate (if negative) for travel. I know there is one at EWR, but we have 18 hours between flights (with overnight hotel stay), so just shopping around.

Are you staying by EWR airport or somewhere in Manhattan? Or are you just looking for a convenient and cheaper place to do the testing in Manhattan somewhere close to where you'd be going anyway during the 18 hour overnight layover? What time in the day works best for you to get the testing done after arriving into the NYC area?
