Air Canada and Southwest will operate from the new concourse starting this Saturday, December 1. United will move there in 2019.

I'm curious if anyone has yet been in through security? Maps aren't fully updated so I'm unclear what the new TSA configuration is yet. Some twitter photos seem to indicate possible airside connection between the B and Eastern Concourse, but I don't yet believe it.

Officially opened today 12/1, AA is operating three gates in addition to AC & WN.

Unrelated but what on Earth is going on in NYC next week? Nearly every hotel in Manhattan is sold out.

Interested for the first reports on availability of PreCheck at these gates.

I highly doubt there is an airside connector according to map in the middle of this article:

I'm curious about this too. I had a last minute work trip pop up so I'll be there next week flying Southwest. Wondering about how easy/fast it is to get from the Centurion Lounge to the SW gates.

Technically I suppose it's an airside connector but functionally is the A checkpoint connected to any other legacy gates?

The legacy A gates are now closed and presumably the next step is to demolish the old A concourse (confusingly, it seems they will still call the security checkpoint "A" although the new gates thankfully do not have any letter, marking perhaps the first step to eliminating the most confusing terminal/concourse/gate number scheme ever).

AA doesn't fly out of the MAT, as far as I know, just JetBlue. Alaska isn't using the MAT any more, so they might have in theory moved some AA flights over there, but I haven't heard anything about it. What flight?

AA was using gates A3 and A5 in the A concourse of Terminal B (Central terminal) after they consolidated their operations over to Terminal B.
https://airwaysmag.com/airlines/amer...as-terminal-b/
But my understanding is that the A concourse has been replaced with the new concourse and the gates are now 40-59. Obviously an error on AA's part...

Not sure if there’s a better thread, but just reporting that LGA traffic is a total cluster these days. The airport tweeted a few days ago that it was at “peak construction”.
Last Friday at around 5-6 it took a bit over 45 minutes to get off the Grand Central (coming from Manhattan) and into terminal C.
Terminal B looked a bit better, partly because the shorter distance, but traffic in that lane was moving a little faster on the flyover into the airport.
One big source of the backup to C/D was the arrivals lanes, full of TLC vehicles, I guess going to the ride share pickup area. The departure lanes were moving once they separated off, but then slowed again as you have to drive past the terminal D departures level to get to C (I don’t remember if this was always the case), and it seemed part of the slowdown was just cars backed up exiting the terminals/airports.
We saw a few people with suitcases walking on the airport roadway, obviously desperate to make flights. And of course a few desperate souls trying to jump ahead in he security line (no one gave them any problems), including one girl who said she was on the bus for 2 hours.
Seems there’s really no easy way to get to the airport, and certainly Delta seems disadvantaged given C/D seem the worst. I would t even think of trying the Q70/M60 as those go to Terminal B first and that just a LOT of traffic they’ll be sitting in.
Thank goodness we’re flying back into JFK this week.

I made it in and out of LGA on a daytrip to DCA yesterday with no issues, fortunately. I got to LGA around 7am via yellow cab and left around 5:30pm via Lyft.
