Welcome to the NYC Forum!

If you're looking for help in planning your next trip to New York City, then you've come to the right place! Contrary to some impressions, New Yorkers are actually a friendly and helpful bunch - we’re not rude, just blunt. ;) So, to help us help you, please note the following guidelines:

  • Please do some research on your own before posting

    This will help narrow down your options a bit. Broad questions like "What should I see in New York City?" are unlikely to elicit useful responses. ;) There's a wealth of information in this forum and we're working on making it more easily accessible, but please remember to use the Search function!

  • When you do post, please be specific about the following:

    · Travel dates - sometimes there are specific events to be aware of
    · Budget - in $ amounts, 'cheap' in NYC may be 'expensive' elsewhere!
    · Interests - museums, shows, sports, food, landmarks, parks, etc.
    · Restrictions - dietary, physical, traveling with small children, etc.

    We have some very knowledgeable members in this forum, but without this sort of specific information, it’s difficult to provide you with helpful guidance.
