Former AA Hangar at Logan - Terminal E Expansion?

Over the past couple of months, Massport has torn down a very old AA hangar at Logan. The hangar was located along the access road as you exit the airport (on your right just after you pass Terminal E). It certainly looked old and obsolete - maybe 50-75 years old -- so it's not particularly surprising that it was torn down.

More interestingly, though, the former site of the hangar is now just vacant. Does anyone know what Massport has planned for that site (and the other land nearby)? If a significant expansion to Terminal E (or even a new Terminal F) was in the cards, that would be the obvious place to put it. I haven't seen any discussion of such a project however.

I'm not sure either of those ideas (either an expanded terminal E or a brand new terminal F) makes sense, as IMO that's not a very good place for any sort of passenger service. They would have to completely revamp the access road and it looks like DHL/UPS/FedEx and the like are right nearby, which might mean they have to move to another location if there were to be a passenger terminal put there. The airport already went through a huge transformation recently***, I'm not sure they want to mess with it like that for a while.

That said, I hope you're right. :)

***Edit to add: Actually, it wasn't recently, but almost 10 years ago now, but the scars from the Big Dig are still there! :)

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned here yet, but...

Massport plans major expansion of international terminal at Logan: New gates, more space for Customs, direct walkway to T stop

With international travel through Logan Airport really taking off, Massport is planning additions to Terminal E that would include new gates, an expanded Customs area and a covered pedestrian walkway to the Airport T station.

Ah-hah! Thank you. It does in fact look like they are going to be expanding Terminal E to where the old AA hangar was. It actually looks like they will go even farther, taking over the space where the UPS terminal currently stands as well. Also, it appears that they will be taking over the land where the Gulf station currently stands - not sure where that will go...

Actually, the teardown is part of the earlier expansion, which will be building a connector between terminals C and E, and adding some gates including A380 gates. the above mentioned expansion is yet another expansion because international traffic at Logan is growing so much, the first expansion is not enough.
