can anyone say if there is duty free shopping available at BOS terminal C?

I don't believe there is. Map below.

Looks like the only ones are in A (satellite terminal), B, and E.

grrr that's what i thought... maybe the few B6 flights that go int'l don't justify an entire duty free store there.

Duty free is not profit free, and can be pricier than some shops. Not to worry, IMO; if you must, check this link.
