Resurrecting this thread with a request for Florida stone crab in a nicer setting around Boston, all you can eat is best, but will take ala carte if reasonably priced.

No Name ceased to be good around 1990. After that it was just a miserable tourist trap. Good riddance.

Not something I have ever seen in a nicer setting in New England as they are not local.

AYCE Seafood isn't something you see much in the Boston area, except maybe at an Asian buffet, and again, I don't ever recall seeing Stone Crab there. Maybe at the Nordic Lodge in Connecticut near the casinos?

I still swear by the Atlantic Fish Company on Boylston. It's been 14 months since my last meal there sadly but they make the best lobster fra diablo I've ever had.

Well if you intend on having another meal there next week, I don't see it on the menu anymore.

Legal is pretty solid. They have a few locations around the city, and they also have locations at the airport in Terminals A, B, and C.

Legal Sea Foods was great 40 years ago. It was solid 20 years ago. Now it’s neither IMHO.

I would say it's fine if you're at the airport. Otherwise I tend to agree with you.

I agree with you. It’s not a bad choice at the airport, where many of the alternatives are far worse.

Pier 6 Charlestown

I didn't really plan to be in Boston (Charlestown) a couple of weeks ago, but went looking for seafood while there, punched "Restaurant” into the GPS and found Pier 6 less than a mile away.

It was a solid "Good" on a scale of poor/fair/good/exceptional with the latter being very very rare.

OB Disclaimers: Not associated with this or any other restaurant. This was one “pre-season” visit so your experience could be different.

Location/Contact information: Pier 6 Boston, 8th St Charlestown, MA 02129 https://www.pier6boston.com They are on [Amex] resy.

Watching Planes: Location is about 2 miles from Logan but buildings may obscure views of landing and takeoff depending on runway in use. View of water/harbor is much better.

Photo: View back to Boston.
