Hoping to get confirmation that my below plan should work out:
My inbound flight has been changed to an arrival time that is well after the location closes. I was originally booked for a 12pm arrival, now arriving 11pm. When looking to modify it for pickup the next morning, the rate is about $800 higher. My plan is to call the location on the original rental day to let them know that I'll now be arriving after they are closed and I'd like to pick it up first thing in the morning.
Should that work without receiving a rate change?
Thanks

- Just getting someone on the phone at many locations can be very challenging.
- if you dont show up for your reservation by closing time, it may be canceled, but major companies like Alamo/National may be willing to honor it the following day. No guarantees though.
- You should add your new airline/flight# to your existing reservation.
- You should book a backup reservation with a different company just in case so you dont end up overpaying.
- You should get a quote from AutoSlash to see if we can find you a decent deal to pick up the following morning. You can also track your existing reservation with AutoSlash and then email [email protected] to let them know you want us to adjust the pickup time to the following morning. You never knowwe may be able to find you a lower rate for the revised pickup time.
Hope this helps!

Free days are un-useable in LJU?
Tried redeeming my free days at LJU and get this error message:
"Error Reservation is not qualify for redemption"
I could call customer service, have not done that yet, but curious to know why. I redeemed free days before in FRA airport with no issue. The staff was even kind enough to offer a fully loaded SUV.
Any ideas?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but recently I started international travel again. This year so far, 6 international rentals at National, 3x in NTE and 3x in AMS - all booked via the same corporate travel agent. All bookings in NTE show up as they should, including rental credits afterwards, but the ones in AMS do not show after the pick-up time has passed. I cannot see the invoices for those in the app, but they exist on the website, but nowhere is National giving me rental credit for these. I called National to get credit for these rentals and after 60 minutes on the phone and and sending a rep my invoices while on the phone with her, she said she got them all in the system correctly - would take a day or two to fully show up. This was 4 weeks ago, and still nothing is showing for rental credits.
Does anyone have any similar experience with rentals at AMS, and if so, how did you get it solved? Does it have anything to do with Enterprise handling National operations at AMS? All my paperwork is on national letterhead, and my National number was on all the reservations from time of booking so it is hard to see where the disconnect is.

This might be an obvious question, but I'm newly an Executive member due to a status match and booked a Premium car for MCO next month (was the cheapest option) - am I right in saying that I could still look down the Executive aisle and pick something from there if I preferred it to the Premium options?

Do they know which cars are placed on the Executive Aisle? During my last rental I wondered, could any member grab a car off the Executive Aisle? Would the booth stop them? Would they be required to go back and select a different car?
Also, what if someone reserved a PCAR, but then canceled that reservation and rebooked a midsize...would the booth know that car didn't come off the aisle?

There are lots of hypothetical scenarios here, but the bottom line is that if you need a specific vehicle type, and don't want to take your chances with aisle availability, then reserve it. There's nothing stopping you from also making a midsize reservation, and then if you find something that meets your needs in the aisle, you can cancel the other reservation. It's best to make the "Emerald Reserve" reservation for at least an hour or two later than you plan to arrive (picking up early is almost never an issue) so that you have time to cancel it should you grab something from the aisle.

They do know what vehicle came from what section since when the lot attendant places the car on the lot, they scan the barcode on the window and denote the section. Now as to whether the gate agent will enforce that 100% of the time, we can't say.

Hi folks, been lurking on this forum for a couple months. I'm a National EE member and was wondering if my mid-size booking will let me upgrade to a full size elite at YYZ (and also be able to use my free days).

A midsize booking will only allow you to upgrade to a Fullsize Elite SUV if one happens to be in the Exective Aisle when you arrive. The chances of this are very slim. It's luck of the draw. If you need a large SUV, then it's best to reserve one (i.e. Emerald Reserve Service).
