If I reserve my car through a 3rd party site like rentcars.com or rentalcars.com and choose a car from National am I still going to be able to use the perks of my EE status? Will the days still count as credits for my free rent?

YMMV. Depends on the station. Some will let you utilize EA/ES but technically they aren't supposed to. In all likelihood you won't be earning free days either, though it does happen sometimes that the credits post (again, very rare).

While we can't speak to the others, the answer is an emphatic yes if you rent through AutoSlash. We typically redirect you to Priceline which has a spot on their checkout page to enter your Emerald Club member number. Immediately upon booking, the reservation will show up on National's website.

PSA: Regardless of where you book, we always recommend tracking your reservation with us for lower rates. You can restrict the tracking to only National if you wish. Rates change all the time (sometimes only briefly), so if you're not repricing your rental at least daily, you're probably leaving money on the table.

Anyone having issues with the app/website showing their rentals correctly? At some point last week I lost all count of my rentals and rentals days for this year. I returned a car 2/13 and that posted but none of my previous rentals for the year are currently showing. Not sure if this an account issue on my end or others are seeing this as well.

Alamo question

Hello everyone

I have an upcoming Alamo reservation at Mco in march for a premium suv (suburban or equal) but looking now those vehicles are not available to rent at all and Ive checked into April and May as well. Should I be looking at booking with another company as this is the vehicle size we need or am I over thinking this and Alamo will fulfill my reservation

99.9% your reservation will be honored. If you're really nervous, you can always book another reservation with a different agency for an hour later than your scheduled pickup, then just cancel.

Mine are showing perfectly fine in the National app.

I have a rsvp for PWN in August for a premium suv (suburban or equal). I'm trying to see what other cards they have at this class... what are the "equal" cars?

Look (or better yet, Ctrl+F) through this thread for anything labeled "PFAR" and that will give you an idea: Index of Ride Reports & Car Classifications

Unfortunately, the thread is quite dated and the National forum doesn't have a better-organized "vehicle classification" thread like the Hertz and Avis forums do, but it can help give you a guideline. (For that matter, reading through the Hertz and Avis threads I just linked can help, too, since the Big 3 rental car companies all tend to classify their vehicles similarly.)

Removed. Answered my own question. Why do I need to go to counter for my emerald reservations at Aisle locations? Answer: I selected SXM radio and my contract ID doesn't allow that. I cancelled old reservations with SXM and made new ones without SXM, no counter, go to aisle or emerald reserve.

Double booking

I need an 8p.
I have an Alamo 8p Minivan reserved at YYZ.
It's quite pricy but cheapest 8p I can find.
Is it proper to make a National EE reservation with the hope that they'll have an 8p available and use the Alamo as backup?
what's the best way to go about it

They aren't going to guarantee you 8 passengers. Almost all of the the Pacificas in the fleet (comprising most of the MVAR class) have captain's chairs and not a middle bench.

We believe the OP is referring to the SVAR class for which the example make/model is a Toyota Sienna. While this vehicle class is not very common, it does exist in sporadic places around the National (and Alamo/Enterprise) fleet.
