I had two different rentals at YVR last week, one for business and one for personal. I was picking from the Executive Selection both times:
Wednesday, 8/7, early afternoon: pretty slim selection overall. Ended up going with a 2019 Taurus Limited AWD, which I was surprised to find out was still in production.
Friday, 8/9, early morning. Picking up for a one-way to Seattle, ES had a couple V6 Challengers, a Ford Edge, and a 2019 Mustang GT Premium. I went with the Mustang, which couldn't have been better for my mostly back road drive the long way to SEA over the weekend.

Any recent info?
Going next week, last time I was there I got a S90 sedan off the executive section.
Hopefully there will be something decent.

Only 4 cars in EA
RvR
Tarus Limited (28000kms)
Fusion Titanium
Mazda CX-5
2 car in ES
Fusion Titanium Hybrid (I took)
Toyota Sienna
Nothing in PS
Overall boring selection
Might go back on Friday to see what else is there and swap something out before the weekend.

Went today July 1 in the morning.
There is no EA or ES right now everything goes through the counter. What they did have parked in ES (EA was empty):
New 2020 Ford escape x3
Buick envision
Jeep wrangler unlimited Sahara

I would of thought they would have had more selection then YYZ since BC is a covid phase ahead of YYZ. I am at YVR at the end of the month with an aisle booking,
I had hoped there would be more choice, but I would be okay with the Envision.

It has been awful for selection lately since covid started. If you don't get in on Monday morning, it is almost certain that they are going to turn you away because of no cars. I fly to YVR every week from YYZ but I have found that if I come in later in the week I am always told that there aren't any cars even though I have a reservation. I end up having to go to the Hertz counter and take whatever they have. This is the same with Enterprise and Alamo as well. Budget seems to have some nice vehicles on their lot

I was there on Tuesday morning. EA/ES were still completely empty, with the only cars being a Yaris, Sienna and a Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited (what I got). Pretty underwhelming honestly, but at least the Jeep was quite fun with the removable roof.
