Airport-City $9.99 rate

https://www.nationalcar.com/en/car-r...-specials.html

conditions are clear. My question: any way to derive:

1. Rental credits
2. one-two-free credits (like the 75-point App reservation)

Of course you would get rental credits. Why wouldn't you? There's nothing that says the rental must be for a minimum of 24 hours.

Why wouldn't you get the bonus points if you strictly follow the criteria?

Does anyone drive these just to get points under One Two Free / Rent Rent Reward?

$12.54 per drive up to Pearson + $3 transit sounds like a fun couple hours on Sunday to me.

One Two Free requires a minimum 2 day rental.

You would earn credit towards regular earned days however.

Oh darn, you're right.

I guess it's consecutive days if I return it within 12 hours but on the next day lol.

I probably should find other things to do with my time.

Let us know... this could be a clever way to get some extra credits. Just sucks I would have to go to Newark.

Since you are picking up from one location and returning to another, it should be possible to go back to the 1st location and do it again for more rental credits.

This looks like it will have very limited usefulness, especially compared to the Avis/Budget special. For example, L'Enfant Plaza and Reagan Airport are 3 miles apart...

Except almost nobody is taking the one-way special to just drive 3 miles apart. The idea is to use the car for something else (local errands, a day trip, etc) during the 12 hours. One of the key differences between the promotions is that Avis/Budget gives free gas but you are limited to 150 free miles. National offers unlimited free miles, but finding and paying for gas is on you as usual.

Also, as usual, especially for EWR to Manhattan, the customer pays the tolls.

I suspect in places like sfo it will be 9.99 + $22 (?) airport fee + another $10 in garbage fees/taxes... not very appealing...

Still might be a good deal in the opposite direction.
