Any experience returning a car early when using a 3 day coupon?
How does National handle this? I may have to return the vehicle about an hour earlier than would qualify me for the 3 day rental. Do they pro rate? The 2 day rate is coming in about $50 more than the 3 day with coupon.

How are you calculating the 3 days? Typically when you go over 2 days and 3 hours, it's charged as if it were 3 days. How many days and how many hours will you have in total at return?

Be very careful you have the exact "charge time" from your original contract if you are trying to precisely time your return. Sometimes the "charge time" is not what you expect it to be.
You may just want to call National.

The reservation I made is from 3/29 12:30 pm and drop off 3/31 1 pm and it gave me the discount with the 3 day coupon for a free day that is available now. I could end up returning to airport before 1 on Sunday and just not sure if that will invalidate coupon. Will definitely be keeping car overnight on Saturday. This is Denver and I am Exec Elite.

You will very likely invalidate the coupon if you return earlier than planned. I’m actually surprised it let you apply the coupon in the first place given your dates/times.
